WHY IS MY HP PRINTER NOT CONNECTING TO MY COMPUTER?

There are a few things more annoying than trying to print a document but finding that the wireless printer is in error mode or is being silent. Perhaps the user has attempted to connect the Wi-Fi printer to the home network. Still, the issues reoccur, leaving the printer obstinately disconnected. Sometimes it happens that the HP printer not connecting to laptop or WiFi. In theory, a wireless connection should make it straightforward for the user to send documents from the device to the printer. Still, in practice, this isn't always the case.

  • Launch the printer.
  • In the Windows Search text box, enter 'Printer'.
  • Choose Printers and Scanners.
  • Choose to add a printer or scanner from the Settings window.
  • Choose a printer.
  • Choose Add device.
  • Windows could request that you install extra software. If so, click Get the app to get the program from the Microsoft Store and install it.
  • When everything is set up, the laptop prints to the wireless printer without needing a USB or printer cable to connect to the printer.
  • Click Add a printer or scanner.
  • Click The printer that I want isn't listed.
  • Select Add a Bluetooth, WiFi, or network discoverable printer in the Add Printer box, then click Next.
  • Select Next after choosing the wireless printer.
  • Once you're done, exit Settings.

If still, the hp printer is not recognized by the computer, then the user needs to go through the basic steps as follows:

  • Check that the device is connected to the correct network, especially if there is a Wi-Fi range extender. This separates networks and makes connecting more challenging.
  • Make sure the printer is powered on or on.
  • Connect with a USB cord and check if it starts working once more.
  • Place the printer where it receives the strongest, most-uninterrupted WiFi signal. It ought to be reasonably close to the router.
  • It may be difficult to connect to the printer if the user has just upgraded the operating system, firewalls, or security software.
